Revel is grateful to be held next to the beautiful Similkameen River in Snaza’ist which is also known as Hedley, BC.  Snaza’ist means striped rock place and is a valley with many different species of animals, such as bats and rattlesnakes, as well as an abundance of desert plants and minerals such as ochre, chalcedony, jade and gold.

Revel welcomes you to step into your most magical and compassionate self and to join us in our purpose to nurture peace in our hearts and to engage in the art of sacred silliness and dance with us. We will do our part by pulling all of the elements together and by building a beautiful, welcoming, inspiring, electrifying, peaceful and nurturing space for everyone to find connection and healing through dance and rest. Our hope is that together we can find a healthier and more sustainable form of raving with respect for the land we dance on so that we can share our love for music together for many more years to come.

The music will be full, clear, deep and loud but not so loud that you need earplugs. Less can be more.

Music will run Thursday August 7th from 6pm-midnight, Friday August 8th from 11am to 3am and Saturday August 9th from 11am to 3am. The generator and amplified music will shut off at these times so there will be some quiet time for people and animals.

Children are welcome. Child tickets will be available at a reduced price.

There is cell reception on site.

At Revel we adhere to and value the original rave creed of PLUR:

Peace: Find peace within yourself to help foster peace in the world. As many of you know, there is no shortage of strife and violence in our world. Sometimes it seems like throwing a festival when there is so much violence happening is crazy, but it is also important to nurture our connections with each other and to grow the frequencies of peace, love, unity and respect in our world.

Love: [Love yourself] This means taking care of yourself and to be self-responsible. This means to making loving choices for yourself and your well-being and to foster a feeling of safety for yourself and others. [Love others] When we truly love and treat ourselves well, we are better able to love others and treat them with kindness and respect.

Unity: Unity within yourself is not always easy but is essential to becoming integrated within : right brain with left brain, mind with body, heart and soul. Unity with others is not always easy but is more possible when we have a unifying goal or vision to unify ourselves around and work together towards.

Respect: Respect yourself! Be kind to yourself, watch what you put in your body and the things you say to yourself. Listen to your inner cues and act accordingly. Respect others! This goes for all people around us as well as the land and animals.

See you on the dance floor!
